Nasrallah reaches out to rivals, warns Israelis to stay home

Study puts Lebanon's 2008 growth at 7 percent but expects slowdown

In its annual report on Lebanon, the Institute of International Finance estimated real GDP growth at 7 percent in 2008 and projected growth to decline to 4 percent in 2009, as reported by Lebanon This Week, the economic publication of the Byblos Bank Group. Jumblatt's call for restraint offers Lebanon a chance to recover

Jumblatt: Lebanese Army arrested Zeineddine's killers

Progressive Socialist Party (PSP) leader Walid Jumblatt said on Monday that the Lebanese Army had fulfilled its duty and arrested the perpetrators in a knife attack on PSP member Lutfi Zeineddine. "The Lebanese Army did its duty and we await justice to take its course," he said during the funeral of Zeineddine in his hometown of Chbaniye. Full Story

Cutting-edge art that explores timeless societal ills
